BACHNER Monique

Monique Bachner-Bout is an Independent Director and lawyer with broad governance, legal, technology and financial services expertise.  Monique sits on Boards of commercial companies, investment funds, and non-profits. Monique holds both law and economics degrees, and is an ILA Certified Director and INSEAD IDP-C.

Monique started her career as a Magic Circle corporate lawyer and now focuses on governance and innovation, and in particular their intersection with legal and regulatory frameworks. Monique is the author of various corporate governance and technology governance articles and guidance and is active in national and international working groups related to corporate governance, decentralisation, and automation/AI governance & ethics, and is a frequent speaker on these issues.

NICOLAS Anne-Marie

Anne-Marie Nicolas is a partner with the Banking and Finance department of the international lawfirm Loyens & Loeff. She specialises in international banking and finance transactions and regulatory matters relating to the financial services industry. She also advises on insolvency, debt restructuring and corporate governance matters.

Previously, she was a banking and finance lawyer with a magic circle lawfirm in Luxembourg and headed the EMEA and India corporate and banking legal practice of a USD13 billion industrial group listed on the NY stock exchange, where she also acted as an executive board member for a number of group entities and advised subsidiary board members in 33 countries.

Anne-Marie is Luxembourg law and New York law qualified and a member of the ILA Banking Committee and the ILA Marketing and Communication Committee. Anne-Marie is also a member of a number of working groups with the ABBL (Bankers and banks association of Luxembourg)

Anne-Marie holds masters in French and German Law from the University of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne and the Universität zu Köln and an LL.M. in American law from Boston University. She speaks fluent French, German and English.

GRIFFITHS Lize

Lize Griffiths is a partner with Deloitte in Luxembourg and has over 15 years of experience in audit and other related services including due diligences. She specialises in the audit of real estate structures (regulated and unregulated direct real estate funds and property companies), debt funds and investment holding companies.

Lize is a qualified Luxembourg Réviseur d’entreprises agréé, a Luxembourg Expert Comptable, a fellow member of ACCA, an US Certified Chartered Accountant as well as a South African Chartered Accountant.

GODDARD Richard

Richard Goddard is a Partner of The Directors’ Office, the leading practice of independent Directors in Luxembourg.

Richard is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years of experience in the European financial sector and has held various senior positions with ABN AMRO and Fleming Asset Management. Most recently he was Head of European Funds for ABN AMRO Asset Management, where he was Chairman of the Group’s Luxembourg-based funds.

Richard Goddard is an independent director of a diversified portfolio of Luxembourg regulated, as well as unregulated investment vehicles, including UCITS funds, real estate, private equity and hedge funds. In addition to this, he is actively involved in a number of industry bodies, including membership of the Investment Funds Committee of Luxembourg Institute of Directors and the Association of British and Irish Accountants in Luxembourg.
