SCHWEIGER Michael

Michael Schweiger is the Chief Compliance Officer of Amazon Payments Europe.  In this role, he leads compliance programs throughout the region and leads global regulatory engagement strategy.

Previously he was a partner at Loyens & Loeff where he built and lead a financial regulatory practice, providing clients with strategic banking, regulatory, and corporate governance advice. Michael also spent over a decade at Royal Bank of Canada’s European subsidiary in Luxembourg where he was a member of the Executive Committee with direct accountability to the European Central Bank.

In addition to holding regional and product head of legal roles, Michael also served as Senior Subsidiary Governance Officer, EMEA (ex UK) with responsibility for all subsidiary governance matters within RBC across its business platforms in Europe. He served as Company Secretary to multiple group companies and is specialized in corporate governance within financial institutions. Recent expert engagements for corporations and public institutions have focused on board liability, the role of the chair, and corporate governance regulation throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Michael is actively involved in the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) and the Luxembourg Institute of Directors (ILA), where he has dedicated significant time to enhancing corporate governance within financial institutions. In 2021, he was elected as an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland and is a Chartered Secretary.

Prior to relocating to Luxembourg in 2008, Michael practised corporate, commercial, and insolvency law in Canada. He qualified as a lawyer in Canada, England, and Luxembourg and speaks English, French, and German.

CHAMBOURDON Stanislas

Stanislas started his career as banking auditor in Paris and joined Luxembourg in 1998. Now Stanislas is leading the Banking and Insurance line of business for KPMG Luxembourg and is also lead engagement partner on several significant banks for audit and advisory.

Through different audit and advisory projects he is currently leading (eg client transformation. ECB agenda and Risk/data management), Stanislas has a large experience of the private banking environment and challenges.

Stanislas is a member of the IRE Banking committee and he is also the chairman of the ILA Banking committee.

He is also assisting and participating to the Advisory Private Banking Panel at the ABBL, the ABBL accounting commission and the banking supervision committee.

He was in charge of the AQR review for Luxembourg and is member of the KPMG AQR European tasks force.

WAMPACH Claude


WURTH Michel

Michel Wurth, 67 is a non independent Director of ArcelorMittal. He joined Arbed in 1979 and held a variety of functions before joining the Arbed Group Management Board and becoming its chief financial officer in 1996. The merger of Aceralia, Arbed and Usinor, leading to the creation of Arcelor in 2002, led to Mr. Wurth’s appointment as senior executive vice president and CFO of Arcelor. He became a member of ArcelorMittal’s Group Management Board in 2006, responsible for Flat Carbon Europe, Global R&D, Distribution Solutions and Long Carbon Worldwide respectively.

Michel Wurth retired from the GMB in April 2014 and was elected to ArcelorMittal’s board of directors in May 2014.

He holds a Law degree from the University of Grenoble, France, and a degree in Political Science from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Grenoble as well as a Master’s of Economics from the London School of Economics, UK. Mr. Wurth is also doctor of laws honoris causa of the Sacred Heart University, Luxembourg.

Mr. Wurth is Chairman of ArcelorMittal Luxembourg S.A. (a wholly owned subsidiary of ArcelorMittal S.A.) as well as Vice Chairman of the supervisory board of Dillinger Hütte AG and Dillinger Hütte Saarstahl AG (associates of ArcelorMittal). Mr. Wurth served as Chairman of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce between May 2004 and May 2019 and is a member of the Council of the Central Bank of Luxembourg. He is also non executive Chairman of Paul Wurth S.A. and member of the supervisory board of SMS Group (the controlling shareholder of Paul Wurth S.A.) as well as non executive Chairman of BIP Investment Partners S.A. and BIP Capital Partners S.A., of Brasserie Nationale. Paul Wurth S.A. is controlled by SMS Group, a leading family owned equipment and engineering supplier for the steel and non ferrous metal producing industry. BIP Investment Partners and BIP Capital Partners S.A. are Luxembourg based companies organized as investment funds investing in small and mid cap private equity and Brasserie Nationale is a privately owned brewer y based in Luxembourg.

Mr. Wurth is vice chairman of the Luxembourg Red Cross. Mr. Wurth is a citizen of Luxembourg.

NICOLAS Anne-Marie

Anne-Marie Nicolas is a partner with the Banking and Finance department of the international lawfirm Loyens & Loeff. She specialises in international banking and finance transactions and regulatory matters relating to the financial services industry. She also advises on insolvency, debt restructuring and corporate governance matters.

Previously, she was a banking and finance lawyer with a magic circle lawfirm in Luxembourg and headed the EMEA and India corporate and banking legal practice of a USD13 billion industrial group listed on the NY stock exchange, where she also acted as an executive board member for a number of group entities and advised subsidiary board members in 33 countries.

Anne-Marie is Luxembourg law and New York law qualified and a member of the ILA Banking Committee and the ILA Marketing and Communication Committee. Anne-Marie is also a member of a number of working groups with the ABBL (Bankers and banks association of Luxembourg)

Anne-Marie holds masters in French and German Law from the University of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne and the Universität zu Köln and an LL.M. in American law from Boston University. She speaks fluent French, German and English.

NEPPER Jean-Pascal

Jean-Pascal is KPMG Luxembourg’s Head of Banking and Insurance. He brings extensive experience in the field, notably in large-scale transformation programs, customer-oriented solutions and human resource projects. Jean-Pascal has been a Partner in KPMG Luxembourg's Advisory practice since 2011. He began his career in 1997 as a Relationship Manager in private banking, managing Russian-speaking and Eastern European High Net Wealth Individuals. He joined KPMG in 2001 as a management consultant, performing and delivering organizational, IT and HR projects in the Luxembourg banking and insurance sector. 

Jean-Pascal holds masters from the Université Catholique de Louvain in translation & interpretation as well as in business administration from IAE Nancy. He speaks fluently French, English and Russian and can survive in German and Dutch.

NARRING Florian

Florian Narring is the Head of Section in charge of Governance, Risk management and AML prudential issues at the ECB within DG Horizontal Line supervision.

Prior to joining the ECB in 2014, Florian worked as a supervisor at Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution. He earned a master’s degree in science of management as well as a master’s research degree in money, banking and finance.


DE LA VAISSIERE Laurent

Laurent leads a hybrid team of auditors and advisors helping our clients assess their internal controls related to technology, managing their security and technology risks, and making sense of data in sensitive contexts. Laurent is an active member of various industry groups including FTL and ABBL. While Laurent mainly serves financial services institutions, he has also worked for various sectors with diversified IT needs and operating models. Laurent is passionate about helping our clients find an optimal balance between the opportunities and risks arising from digital transformation.

IT Regulatory Affairs is among Laurent’s main areas of practice. Laurent supports our clients in their compliance in the fields of ICT and Security Risk Management, IT Outsourcing and Incident Reporting, and supports their dialogue with their regulators.

WEBER Lars

After my studies of « Computer Science » at the RWTH Aachen, I joined the information security team at Spuerkeess in 2000.

Being in charge of the « Operational IT Security » for several years, I finally took over the role of “Information Security Officer” in 2019 while joining the risk department as Deputy Head of Risk Management.

Since 2018, I am also leading the « Trust and Cybersecurity Committee » at the ABBL.

NEUBERG Luc

Dr. Luc Neuberg is Chairman of the Board of ALRiM, the Luxembourg Association of Risk Management.

He is Founding Partner of Fair Cost Index. FCI is registered by ESMA as an Index Administrator. It is regulated by the Benchmark European Directive and is certified by the AMF.

Luc was CEO and Head of Risk Management at BCEE AM. Before that, Dr. Neuberg was the Managing Director at Fortis Investment Luxembourg, as well as Head of Risk Management for Fortis Multi Management. Prior to this, he was a Member of the MeesPierson Global Investment Process Committee.

He belongs to the Steering Committee of the ALFI Risk Management working group, and teaches at the University of Lorraine, University of Luxembourg and Luxembourg House of Training. Dr. Neuberg holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from the University of Namur and a Civil Engineer degree from the University of Liège.

REKIK Emna


Emna currently heads the Tenant Representation department at JLL Luxembourg, assisting corporate clients in aligning their real estate strategy with their business strategy. She is responsible for managing and running a wide range of assignments, including: Strategic Consulting and portfolio opportunity assessments & reviews, portfolio strategies, account management services for international corporations providing an array of services including lease administration, transaction management, project management and tenant representation such as lease acquisitions & renegotiations, freehold acquisitions & sales, sale & leasebacks, disposals and dilapidation negotiations

 Emna has 15 years of experience in Real Estate related services with a strong track record of advising local and international occupier clients and completing large complex projects.
